Almost three years have passed since the release of Alita Battle Angel in theatres, which came at a time that some may have deemed the worst imaginable.
This could’ve been the start of a new franchise, but it was shelved by 20th Century Fox in favour of the final title the studio would release under its old moniker.
There may be another potential home for the Alita: Battle Angel franchise if Robert Rodriguez, James Cameron, and Rosa Salazar are still preparing Alita: Battle Angel 2. There’s a good chance that Netflix will be the next place to watch this blockbuster sci-fi film.
In order to bring back Alita: Battle Angel to streaming, the movie needs to be widely available on subscription services first.
If Netflix decides to take advantage of this gesture of good faith, it might pave the way for a promising future. As we’ll see, it’s a sounder idea than most people realise. There are a number of reasons why Alita deserves a new home on Netflix, so let us begin.
Alita Battle Angel 2 Storyline
Alita Battle Angel’s dystopian future city of Iron City, where a cyborg who has lost her memory finds herself in the centre of the action, is the inspiration for this manga series. A cybernetics doctor will rebuild her after she is recovered.
As she tries to recapture her past, the film focuses on her connections with the people she meets. She becomes a bounty hunter as a result of the experience.
As the first in a trilogy that spans more than two decades of storytelling, the film is based on the manga series that inspired it. Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle and Alita The Last Order are continuations of the original series.
What is the release date of Alita Battle Angel 2? Alita Battle Angel, the hugely successful sci-fi film, was in development for 16 years before it was finally released in theatres. While James Cameron had been working on the film since 2003, it was only released in 2019 that he was able to fulfil a long-held dream of bringing the Manga comic to life.
The climax of the first film precisely foreshadowed the second. How can there be so little information about Alita: Battle Angel 2’s release date when there are so many loyal fans and enthusiastic actors willing to reprise their roles?
It goes without saying that making a film is not a simple or quick endeavour. Alita: Battle Angel was released a few years ago, and many fans will be wondering when they’ll get to see a sequel. Despite the fact that Alita 2 hasn’t been given the green light yet, we’ve gathered as much information as we can to keep you up to date.
Alita Battle Angel 2 Cast And Main Lead
Rosa Salazar, the actress who portrays Alita using performance-capture technology, is the sole guarantee in this area. The actress has spoken freely about her admiration for the character and the part, and she would be crucial to any sequel.
Also, co-star Christoph Waltz, who portrays Dr. Dyson Ido, Alita’s scientific saviour, expressed his disappointment and surprise at the lack of a sequel, and said he would return for Alita 2 if one were to be made!
To carry out his wicked plans, we would expect Edward Norton, who was revealed to be the villainous Nova at the end of the original film, to return for a sequel.
Mahershala Ali is the least likely of the surviving supporting cast to return, considering his character Vector was killed off in the first film. Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley, and Jennifer Connolly are all likely to return, as will Keenan Johnson if our suspicions about Hugo are true.

Alita Battle Angel 2 Release Date Here
The tough part is here. Alita: Battle Angel 2’s release date has yet to be announced. On the contrary, Alita 2 hasn’t even been approved. And now that Disney has taken over the productions of 20th Century Fox, the road to getting the go-ahead is much more difficult.
After his work on Star Wars titles like The Mandalorian for Disney Plus, Robert Rodriguez, the director of Alita: Battle Angel, may have been able to sweeten the deal with the studio. Following The Book of Boba Fett, filmmaker Yoshihiro Otomo has expressed his eagerness to begin work on Alita 2.
All things considered, we could be looking at a long wait until we see Iron City again. For now, it’s impossible to predict when Alita 2 would be released because the project hasn’t been officially confirmed. However, we do know that if it were to be given the green light, development and production would take at least three years. You don’t have to worry about running out of things to do until 2026, right?
Alita Battle Angel 2 Is Disney Work On it?
Robert Rodriguez’s most recent Alita 2 update sounded encouraging, and the film’s future seemed bright. A large part of the man’s future plans included a pitch to Disney that was conditional on the success of The Book of Boba Fett. There has been no additional information at that time, which suggests that either Rodriguez has not made his pitch or Disney does not appear to be interested.

For now, it wouldn’t be surprising if Disney did not make an effort to produce additional Alita: Battle Angel content After a stalemate of three years, the studio’s increased interest in a Tron sequel says a lot. As long as Rosa Salazar, Alita’s mother, wants to continue exploring Iron City’s surroundings, it’s evident that one side of the equation has a greater stake in its success. It’s time to consider other potential successors, and Netflix has made a strong case for itself in this regard.
Alita Battle Angel 2, Robert Rodriguez With Netflix.
The Robert Rodriguez original We Can Be Heroes will be a tremendous blockbuster for Netflix in 2020. Just one month following the success of We Can Be Heroes, a sequel was given the go-ahead. The Book of Boba Fett provided Rodriguez with a one-off opportunity to work with Disney, but he later found a slew of other projects with Netflix.
With the recent announcement of the Spy Kids reboot and the more mature Ben Affleck flick Hypnotic, Robert Rodriguez and Netflix are also working on the next We Can Be Heroes movie. Netflix is the ideal home for a prospective Alita: Battle Angel 2 because it already covers the full range of Rodriguez’s work.

Conclusion-
I’ve never seen a more gorgeous film than this. When compared to other action films released this year, it is without a doubt the finest of 2019. I really recommend it. In this flawless masterpiece, all the ingredients are present: cyber, retro, present, past, love, hatred, devotion, betrayal, wars, peace, cuteness, fierceness, sport, lightning sword and an incredible female cyborg hero. Cyber, retro, present, past, love I’ve already seen it seven times on a subscription TV channel.
The CGI in this live action film is good, and the plot is really similar to the manga, which was a tremendous pleasure for me. Thank you to everyone involved in making this incredible film possible, including the filmmakers, actors, and crew! I, along with the vast majority of Alita fans, am eagerly anticipating the release of the second instalment in the series. It’s a shame that a gem like this one was snubbed at the movie office, when it has so much promise. I’m always here for you guys, and I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll be able to do another sequel.
