It’s quirky, it’s innovative, it’s humorous — and now you can refer to “Call Me Kat,” Mayim Bialik’s first post-“The Big Bang Theory” production — as a smash. Here you get all information regarding Call Me Kat Season 2.
The sitcom is all about Kat (Bialik), a quirky former college lecturer who’s pushed to quit her job and establish a cat café by her father’s death. She utilises money her parents had set aside for the very-single Kat’s wedding to support the company, much to the chagrin of her mother, Sheila (Swoosie Kurtz), who fears her daughter would wind up alone and regularly sets her up on blind dates.
Call Me Kat is an American television sitcom primarily based on the British series Miranda by Miranda Hart. The series is created by Darlene Hunt and stars Mayim Bialik as the lead character, with Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Julian Gant, Leslie Jordan, and Swoosie Kurtz in supporting parts. The series aired on Fox as a midseason addition in the 2020–21 television season on January 3, 2021. In May 2021, the series was revived for a second season which debuted on January 9, 2022.
Call Me Kat premiered in January as a lead-up to the last season of Last Man Standing. The sitcom stars Bialik as Kat, a single lady running a cat café in Louisville after leaving her position as a lecturer at the University of Louisville. The supporting cast includes Swoosie Kurtz as Kat’s mother Sheila, Leslie Jordan as baker Phil, Kyla Pratt as waitress Randi, Julian Grant as bar owner Carter, and Cheyenne Jackson as Kat’s former college flame Max. Vanessa Lachey and Lamorne Morris had recurring appearances in Season 1.
The series is partially inspired on the BBC comedy Miranda, produced by Miranda Hart. Bialik is an executive producer, with her former Big Bang co-star Jim Parsons and director Beth McCarthy-Miller. Hunt and Hart are also executive producers.
“We are pleased to renew Call Me Kat and have Mayim, Cheyenne, Swoosie, Leslie, Kyla, and Julian return for their second season,” Fox entertainment president Michael Thorn said Monday, reports TVLine. “Together, they create wonderful chemistry that we, and viewers, like. On behalf of everyone here at Fox, congratulations to this fantastic ensemble and our terrific partners at Warner Bros. on creating this season’s #1 new comedy.’’

Call Me Kat Season 2: Is It Happening?
Yes, the series Call Me Kat Season 2 is occurring. The sitcom Call Me Kat got renewed for the second season in May 2021
The second season of the series Call Me Kat will be shown on Fox. The announcement of the second season of the series Call Me Kat was announced in May 2021.
While the second season of Call Me Kat is still in development, let’s discuss the first season of the show.
Call me kat Season 2 – Plot
When we last left Kat, she was in the midst of a romantic pickle. Caught between Oscar and her resurgent feelings for Max, she was taken aback by Oscar’s callous reaction to the death of one of her cats. Max initially consoled Kat through the ordeal, forgiving her for writing an email to his ex-girlfriend (for whom he retained feelings) while under the influence of sleeping pills, which prompted the ex to order Max to never contact her again.
Oscar later atoned for his actions by travelling two hours to fetch the cat’s ashes, leaving Kat more perplexed than ever about which guy she actually loves. It’s therefore likely that the second season will continue to handle the Kat-Max-Oscar triangle.
With the one-year anniversary of Kat’s cat café behind her, it’s likely that the business will remain a focal point of storylines, Randi will likely continue to pursue her passion for photography (especially now that she’s broken up with her boyfriend, Daniel), and Phil and Sheila will likely continue to offer Kat sometimes contradictory advice.

Season 1 of Call me kat – Recap
Call Me Kat episode 1, aptly titled “Plus One,” begins by displaying all of the show’s cats in their baskets. It’s a clumsy introduction to Kat, a 39-year-old single woman who abandons her career as a math professor in the aftermath of her father’s death in order to spend all of her savings on a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky, for reasons that are mysterious to everyone, least of all her worried mother, Sheila, who believes her daughter
The bright spots in Kat’s life and show are her colleagues, Phil and Randi. The former gets plenty of work when Kat invites him to her best friend Tara’s (Vanessa Lachey) vow renewal, which is awkward given that Phil is a) much older than Kat and b) openly gay. Line dancing ensues.
Naturally, this undermines what I believe is the show’s central message, which is that it is acceptable for your life to take an unusual path and that you are not bound by trite expectations like finding a partner, marrying, and having children. Kat is adamant that she is content to be a “rad cat lady” until the first whiff of Max sends her near-delirious and puts an end to all her happily single plans.
“Plus One” isn’t funny; in fact, I laughed just once, at the end, when Kat accidentally kicked Max in the face, but even that was undermined by how they both immediately broke character and began bowing to the audience in an old-fashioned live-sitcom manner. Bizarre.
