Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 has taken longer than planned to get underway, but production is now scheduled to begin in 2023.
James Gunn revealed that filming had begun in November 2021, after denying that the threequel would be delayed again. To celebrate, we even had a cast portrait taken.
There is no longer any controversy surrounding Gunn’s firing and rehiring, and the film’s director has proclaimed that the threequel would be “massive” in terms of the new worlds that will be explored.
All of the pieces are in place for a thrilling climax to the trilogy, and we’ve got all the details on Guardians of the Galaxy 3 to help you get excited.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Deals With?
Adapted from the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on May 1, 2017 by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Filmmakers hope it will be a follow-up to both “Guardians” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” as well as “Marvel’s 32nd movie” (MCU).
In addition to Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaa and Dave Bautista in an ensemble cast, the film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, and Will Poulter.
In November 2014, James Gunn revealed that he has ideas for a third film in the series, and in April 2017, he announced that he will return to write and direct. A few months later, Disney decided to bring him back as director after firing him over the emergence of some old, scathing remarks.
When Gunn finished filming The Suicide Squad and its spinoff series Peacemaker in 2021, he announced his return to the series in March of that year (2022). Atlanta, Georgia, is where filming will begin in November 2021, and it is projected to remain until April 2022. There will be a shooting in London, England as well.
Phase Four of the MCU will see the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in the United States on May 5, 2023.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Release Date
The release date of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 has now been confirmed by Marvel, so you can now begin the countdown.
When Disney rearranged the release dates of all of their future Phase 4 films in October 2021, the threequel remained unchanged. If that holds true, we can expect to see the film in theatres in May of 2023.
In the meantime, Disney+ subscribers may look forward to a special holiday episode in December 2022, in which Gunn promises to debut “one of the greatest MCU characters of all time.” The third film is being shot at the same time.
Filming on the third film has already begun and is expected to go until roughly April 2022, as previously indicated.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Cast And Characters
Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Pom Klementieff will reprise their roles as Star-Lord, Drax, Nebula, Rocket, and Groot, respectively. Zoe Saldana will reprise her role as Gamora following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
The last time we saw Gamora, she had been killed off in Avengers: Infinity War. However, in Endgame, we see another Gamora from a previous timeline who has been transported to the year 2023 and has gone missing since Tony Stark rescued her.
Saldana has stated that she wants to “explore a terrible Gamora” in the third Guardians film, and we’d be down with that.
The Guardians of the Galaxy will return to the big screen before the third film, as they appear in Thor: Love and Thunder. Chris Hemsworth may or may not reprise his role as Thor in the third Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Guardians 3 will take place after the release of the new Thor movie, therefore a possible Thor crossover is unlikely.
Yondu’s former Ravager pal Kraglin, played by Sean Gunn, is expected to return, as is Ayesha, played by Elizabeth Debicki, who is said to be open to returning. “Even if I simply scooch on for a second, I’d be thrilled.” There was no doubt in her mind that she’d like to return someday.
It’s possible that Stakar’s fellow Ravagers—Michelle Yeoh’s Aleta Ogord, Charlie-27’s Ving Rhames, Mainframe’s Miley Cyrus, and Martinex’s Michael Rosenbaum—could return to the MCU in the future.
Will Poulter has been confirmed to play Adam Warlock, who had been teased in one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s credits scenes as a possible MCU appearance.
“I feel very, very blessed and honoured,” said Poulter of his casting in the Marvel universe.
For a series like Guardians of the Galaxy, which I consider to be really imaginative and singular, I think it’s especially important. “I’m extremely grateful to have James Gunn as a mentor and friend.”
Chukwudi Iwuji, star of Peacemaker, is also joining. People are going crazy over how wonderful Gunn is as one of the movie’s primary characters, he stated. I’m frightened shitless.
Michael Rooker as Yondu, who sacrificed himself to save Star-Lord in the second film, will not appear in this movie.
Yondu will remain dead “as long as I’m engaged with the Guardians,” Gunn tweeted. He died, and I’m not going to downplay the significance of his death for anyone.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Plotline
There are no specific plot details to go on, but Gunn has vowed that the third film will be the “epic climax” to the story that he began in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Bautista has ruled out returning to the role of Drax in the future after this film, thereby putting an end to the current incarnation of the team on screen. Because of his commitments in the near future, he confided, “Guardians 3 will most likely mark the end of my time as Drax.”
Even if Drax could be played by another actor in the future, for Gunn, Bautista is Drax and no one else.
According to the latest reports, the third film would focus on the quest for Gamora after Thanos’ defeat.
Gunn has stated that he would have been most disappointed if he didn’t get to finish Rocket’s storyline in the third film. For this reason, we should anticipate to see more of Rocket in the third film, perhaps even his entire past.
“It’s a darker story, so it’s an emotional journey to go through,” he teased about the third film in the trilogy.
Karen Gillan supported this up when she revealed that when she and Pom Klementieff read the script together, there were “complete tears.” ‘It’s fantastic, heartfelt, humorous, and all the qualities you want in a film,’ she exclaimed.
I hope the tears aren’t because some of our favourite Guardians are soon to die.
Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Trailer Announced
Filming has begun, but we don’t expect the first video to arrive for a little yet.
It’s possible that the first trailer will premiere at Comic-Con 2022, but we’d rather not to wait that long.
The first and second volumes of Guardians of the Galaxy are now available on Disney Plus. On May 5, 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released.
Are There Any New Characters Introduced In Guardians Of The Galaxy 3
The intergalactic “A-Holes” that saved the cosmos from Ronan the Accuser and Ego in the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies will be back in Vol. 3 of the trilogy.
Expected to deal with the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, which saw the Guardians help fight Thanos before returning to space and losing communication with one of their own (Zoe Saldana’s time-displaced Gamora).
Although the extended delay may have eroded the Endgame connection from fans’ collective memory, the film may be more strongly affected by Thor: Love and Thunder, in which the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear.
Ayesha, the gold-skinned figure created by Elizabeth Debicki’s character to exact revenge on the titular team in the previous film, will be played by Will Poulter and will appear in the tale as popular comic book character Adam Warlock (who was teased in the previous movie). In the future film, the titular squad is expected to face up against Warlock.
On Instagram, Gunn revealed which characters he enjoys writing about the most and hinted at which ones have the most interesting storylines in Vol. 3 of the series.
Nebula and Rocket’s arcs were the ones he enjoyed writing the best, he said. Quill and Mantis, on the other hand, are going to benefit greatly from our plans.” Over the course of the three films, rather than just the individual ones, all of their storylines are explored.”
Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula, tells Collider that she and her co-star Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis, were in tears following their first read-through of the final chapter in Nebula’s saga.
When she and her husband read it together, they both burst into tears. This is the best job James has done yet with the Guardians, and it’s simply wonderful. Everything you could want for in a movie is here: smart, moving, amusing, and all of the above.
Who Will Perish In Guardians Of The Galaxy 3?
This edition of Guardians of the Galaxy has long been predicted to come to an end in Guardians 3 — with fans wondering if their favourite MCU characters will ride off into the sunset or suffer a horrible death.
Gunn’s recent hints suggest that Guardians 3 may be the final chapter for several beloved MCU characters, which is unfortunate.
On the Hero Nation Podcast, Gunn said, “This is the end for us, the last time fans will see this squad of Guardians.” “It’s huge; it’s so, so huge and gloomy, and it’s quite different from what people might imagine.” Furthermore, “I just want to be truthful,” he said. “I just want to be a storyteller, and I just want to finish the narrative.” Despite the fact that it’s nerve-wracking, I’m doing my best.”
According to Bautista, this is the final submission for the team before they “finish up” (via Phase Zero).
When asked if he plans to return as Drax after Guardians Vol. 3, he said, “I don’t think so.” But that doesn’t mean he won’t be back in some capacity.
Groot’s homeworld, Planet X, will be visited by the Guardians of the Galaxy in the third film, according to Vin Diesel (via Phase Zero).
In the end, how many of your favorite MCU characters will live to see another day? To find out, viewers must wait.

Conclusion-
As far as I’m concerned, I’m still in the Marvel mood. Let’s talk about the upcoming sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy. Many people have asked me why I prefer Vol. 2 to Vol. 1.
For a variety of reasons, I enjoyed the first Guardians of the Galaxy, but I believe that the humour and interplay between the characters have been greatly enhanced in the sequel.
A closer connection between them is evident in this piece, and I found myself really delighted by their humorous interplay and saddened when they were struck by adversity.
