Rating And Reviews Of Is It Cake? Season 2
However, I’m not a fan of any of the desert programs, like Zoombo’s Just Desserts or that show about home baker’s attempts at baking and their failures, etc. It took a while for Sugar Rush to get monotonous due to how predictable it was. Competition and a bunch of stiff judges just didn’t go well together for desserts. When it comes to taste, why do we take cupcakes so seriously? It’s rare to find a dessert-making program that’s both entertaining and educational.
I like how lighthearted they are. They’re spontaneous and sometimes bizarre. Their encounters seem more organic than contrived to me. Also, there will be no snobbish dessert chefs or patissiers on the jury! I’m a fan of the fact that this is a group of “regular” individuals judging!
That they are, in reality, deceiving you is not hidden from the public’s eye! Almost like you’re right there with them, it’s invigorating.
This is a fantastic program, and I really hope that Michael Day remains on it. His huge kitchen knives and snarky demeanor make him amusing.
Watch it for the joy of it. There are a lot of YouTube videos on how to bake a show.

People who like sweets would enjoy this presentation, who knows it might inspire some of you to give baking a go yourself?? The next time your gang has a home party, you may be in April.
The bakers’ inventiveness astounds me. They were also all quite cordial with one another. As soon as I learned that Mikey Day had been on SNL, his comedy began to make sense to me. Other reviews indicate that this is not for everyone. In spite of my want for more, I’m giving it a 5.
