Ever since Season 2 was released, both new and longtime fans of Last Chance U: Basketball has been eagerly anticipating its digital release. This is what we know about Season 3 of Last Chance U: Basketball at the moment.
Last Chance U basketball Season 3 Happen Or Not?
The third season of Last Chance U: Basketball has not been ordered as of this writing. Considering the show’s content, however, that could change if it ends up being a hit for Netflix.
Netflix’s decision to renew or cancel a season is based on a number of factors, including the show’s popularity at launch and its subsequent drop in viewership. Some shows’ futures are quickly decided upon (such as Squid Game, Bridgerton, and Irregulars), while for others, it can take months.
Last Chance U: Basketball has been receiving rave reviews from both audiences and critics. The compelling storytelling and sharp editing of the series have been praised by many.
In his final interviews for the show, John Mosley hinted that there wouldn’t be a sequel, but given the current state of affairs, one cannot rule out the possibility of a continuation. East Los Angeles College (ELAC) is home to the next generation of talent, so one could follow them or shift their attention to another collegiate team.
We’re going out on a limb and saying that we anticipate a third-season renewal announcement in the near future. We will be sure to revise this section as new data becomes available in the upcoming weeks and months.
Last Chance U basketball Season 3 Release Date
For basketball fans at Last Chance U, the holidays have not come early. As of December 21st, 2022, Netflix has not renewed the show for a third season. A month or more usually passes before the streaming service announces whether or not a show has been renewed for a second season.
It would be surprising if Basketball wasn’t renewed for a third season on Last Chance U given the show’s overall success. (The original Last Chance U series followed collegiate football players at different schools; the Last Chance U: Basketball franchise is a spinoff of that franchise.)
Like the original series, which aired for five seasons, Last Chance U: Basketball could have a long and successful run.

What does a show like Last Chance U: Basketball hope to accomplish for the teams that appear on it? Do it now. They have bigger goals than winning, though; each player has his sights set on the majors. Specifically, the National Basketball Association.
More is involved than just getting boards or weaving baskets. The Huskies put forth their best effort in each game in the hopes of catching the eye of NBA scouts and receiving a shot at the professional level. The first two seasons of Last Chance U: Basketball is currently available on Netflix.
Any Idea Where Coach Rob Is Right Now? He Started A New Job.
After three seasons at East Los Angeles College, Coach Rob was hired by MiraCosta College to lead the men’s basketball team. Coach Rob wore a T-shirt from MiraCosta College in a photo he uploaded to Instagram on April 20, 2022, which he captioned, “I’m pumped up for the season!” “When I enrolled at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California, they handed me the gym’s key. We will miss ELAC but will be killing it at the beach!”
Coach Rob was an integral part of a basketball programme that finished with a 78-11 record while he was at ELAC. Despite Coach Rob’s obvious talent as a coach, his responsibilities did not start there. He played a crucial role in the recruitment of players, many of whom went on to receive scholarships to play at the “next level.”
Twenty of Coach Rob’s years in education were spent at Notre Dame High School in Riverside, California before he landed at ELAC. Coach of the Year by the Cal-Hi State Coaches Association, the SCIBCA Southern Coaches Association, and the Press Enterprise, as reported by MiraCosta College.
Coach Rob Cares For His Team Like They Are His Own Children
Coach Rob admitted in an interview for the Dad Up Podcast in December 2021 that he takes a more personable approach to coaching. The way I treat these young men is how I would want my own children to be treated,” he said. “I don’t really have any unique skills. Coach Rob unexpectedly appears. I’m going to father these guys like I do my own kids because it’s the same guy who left the house showing up in the locker room.”
Next, Coach Rob compared the atmosphere of a college game to that of a high school game, noting the differences between the two. They’re under no obligation to take his counsel, but he always provides it. Coach Rob joked, “In college and dealing with college kids, it gets real.”
The East L.A. squad’s abundance of talent is set against the grim realities of the players’ lives. Something went wrong if they did, after all their training and experience. Coach Rob reassured the team, “We’re there fixing that, constantly.” Maintaining male students’ interest in college for as long as possible “is a good thing.”
Netflix currently has seasons 1 and 2 of Last Chance Basketball available to stream.

Last Chance U basketball Season 2 Recap
Season one did a great job of maintaining the show’s signature Last Chance U atmosphere, but it was cut short due to a certain global pandemic. The second season, however, picks up right where the first left off, with Coach John Mosley bringing a brand new group of kids into the fold and planning to put them through their paces in order to win the State Championship. Last Chance U follows a group of students through their highs and lows over the course of eight episodes, with each episode running about an hour.
As the team struggles to find its identity and click together, this season has a much more desperate hope vibe, akin to a movie like Sunderland Til I Die, than the first. Losses are piling up, complacency is on the horizon, and John begins to have doubts about his abilities. At this point, it seems like everything is going to collapse on itself like never before.
The second half of the season has a different vibe, but the underlying tension is still present in all of the well-shot and edited games.
Last Chance U basketball Season 3 Here All Updates
There are no plans to bring back Last Chance U Basketball Season 3. Given the show’s subject matter, that may shift if it proves to be a commercial success for Netflix.
Prior to deciding whether or not to renew a show, Netflix considers a variety of factors, including the show’s initial viewership and its subsequent viewership decline. Sometimes Netflix makes a decision about a show’s future quickly (like with Squid Game, Bridgerton, and Irregulars), and other times it can take months.
Viewers and reviewers alike have praised Last Chance U: Basketball thus far, with many praising the series’ tight storytelling and polished production values.
Even though John Mosley suggested there wouldn’t be a sequel in his final interviews for the show, the way things are set up, there is definitely potential for a sequel. You could focus on the fresh crop of talent at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) or switch gears and follow a different college squad.

Since Netflix has not approved a third season, very little information is available. There is still the possibility that the mysterious John Mosley will return as a coach for a new generation of players, or that the attention will shift to a new team and new generation of players altogether. Naturally, everything depends on Netflix’s viewership numbers, so we may have to wait and see.
We think it will be renewed, but we could be wrong. When new details become available, however, we will be sure to update this page.

Endlines-
Several seasons of Last Chance U are among my favourites. And without a doubt, this is my favourite. They have an incredible coaching staff. Everyone knows that Coach Mosley is the best. What makes him so ideal as a mentor and coach is that he embodies all of these qualities. His attitude and genuine concern for the group made them a pleasure to watch.
The love was palpable, and it was clear that God was using him in some way. The young men showed great consideration and deference in their responses.
My heart was touched by each and every one of their stories. We watch games, cheer for our teams, and yell at the players when they’re having a bad night. What we fail to remember is that each person has their own life, complete with its own set of problems, challenges, highs and lows, joys and fears. Each of these young men has my deepest best wishes for love, success, respect, and happiness. The release of Last Chance U Basketball Season 3 has me on the edge of my seat.
