Kerry Washington is practically a byword in Hollywood for tense dramatic series. Washington has established a reputation for being a part of intriguing tales that keep viewers glued to their screens, both during her stint as the bright and superbly dressed Oliva Pope on Scandal and during her brief turn as Mia Warren in Little Fires Everywhere. The new show Reasonable Doubt is up to par with the rest. The Emmy-nominated actress is not playing a lead role in the new production, but she is involved as an executive producer and director.
Disney “intended to curate a slate of premium entertainment programmes by artists of colour and marginalised perspectives,” hence the drama is part of the Onyx Collective. Aftershock, a recent documentary by the Onyx Collective, has been a critical and commercial success.
The project has the makings of a must-see series thanks to Washington’s endorsement and Disney’s financial support.
