Taking place a decade before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series, the American television series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3. follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the USS Enterprise as they explore new worlds and carry out missions throughout the galaxy. CBS Studios and Secret Hideout, Weed Road Pictures, H M R X Productions, and Roddenberry Entertainment are producing the season.
Entertainment, was created by Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers, who also serves as the showrunners.
Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Babs Olusanmokun join Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn as Pike, Spock, and Number One, respectively.
Filming for Season 3 of Strange New Worlds began in February 2022 and wrapped up in July of same year at CBS Stages Canada in Mississauga, Ontario. Following the example of The Original Series, the showrunners gave each episode a unique genre and tone for the second season.
In this season, which also features a crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks, several of the main performers and numerous guest stars play younger versions of characters from The Original Series.
Strange New Worlds Season 3 Happen Or Not?
Strange New Worlds season 3 production began early due to an early renewal. That was easy.
The show’s creator and executive producer, Chris Fisher, has confirmed that production will wrap on July 1, 2022.
The Strange New Worlds Season 3 has come to a close. All of us in Toronto and across Canada appreciate your enthusiastic support, as do the performers, crew, writers, and directors. For their faith in us and their encouragement as we boldly go objective, we are forever indebted to them.
Due to the reduced turnaround time, we anticipate season two to premiere in 2023.
Maybe if we all pray really hard, Paramount will hear us and release it sooner.
Horak told Collider later about his character’s tragic decision. He’s so filled with Gorn that he’s going to blow, therefore he’ll die to save the rest of us. He then added, “That’s a terrific moment for the character.”
Serving in Starfleet is all about making personal sacrifices for the benefit of others you care about. With this lesson, Uhura can finally put the pieces together.
This time, James T. Kirk is played by Vampire Diaries’ Paul Wesley.
A statement from Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, and Henry Alonso Myers gushed, “Paul is an extraordinary actor and an amazing presence.” We’re thrilled with his casting since, like us, he’s been a Star Trek fan for as long as we can remember.
Spectators were left with shock by Paul’s introduction in the season one finale and eager to learn more about him.
In 2022, at San Diego Comic-Con, Paul remarked to Digital Spy, “We only saw Kirk for a few of scenes in the climax.”
A quote from the original Balance of Terror: “That episode was intense, and Kirk is intense in it.”
For the first time, I’ll be able to introduce them to a new side of Kirk—not an alternate universe Kirk, but a lieutenant. A younger version of Kirk. A captain he is not.
The season’s levity and thrills are what I’m anticipating the most.
As he put it to TVLine, “you can’t deny there are natural things about James T. Kirk you can’t refute” (his instinct, his courage). He has a lot of respect for his employees. Magnetizes. To put it simply, people respect and like him.
“I had to be aware of those things, but I couldn’t emulate William Shatner,” Wesley said. To try and recreate Shatner’s performance in the present day would be an insult. It can’t be a knockoff of Kirk, thus it needs to have its own identity.

Strange New Worlds Season 3 Plot
What else, besides Kirk’s arrival, will happen on the USS Enterprise in season two?
Season two “takes it to a whole other level,” actor Christina Chong recently told Deadline. We are receiving scripts and are totally impressed with what Henry and Akiva have accomplished. Those who found the first season satisfying will be blown away by the second.
The group has been talking, and we all agree that Season 1 was a great dinner, but that Season 3 has so much more to offer. Celia Rose Gooding Everything is a multiple of itself, then.
Even more exciting is the fact that Melissa Navia, in a recent interview with ScreenRant, teased details about season two with the same level of passion. “we’re going to travel to places that you really didn’t expect, could not expect, but you’re going to be extremely delighted that we did,” she said of Season 3’s destination.
People are already talking about season three, but I feel like we’re barreling toward the end of season two. Still to come are some of the most important scenes we’ve ever filmed, especially for me. As a result, this is quite thrilling.
In an interview with Deadline published shortly after the season one finale aired, executive producer Akiva Goldsman discussed why that episode would have been a fantastic series conclusion and how it now sets up subsequent episodes in season two:
Remember, we created this show before we knew if anyone would watch it. The fact that more is promised isn’t enough, though. And yet, I feel like the episode is over.
While this does not guarantee a continuation of the story, he noted, “at the same time,” it does open up into that possibility because we are returning. Interestingly, we didn’t know it would have a second season when we made it, but now that we know, we’re looking forward to it.
So, in a way, it was our attempt to wrap up the arc that began it, and basically, I guess, you know, the thought that if we had been a one-season item, we would’ve been glad to conclude that way.
Goldsman seemed optimistic when asked about prospective crossovers with other Star Trek shows, like as Discovery and Picard, saying:
What I will say is that the concept of crossovers is quite exciting to all of us. It’s still unclear if or when they’ll materialise, but we’re making great strides in that direction, and I’m hopeful that our efforts will soon pay off.
We also learned that Strange New Worlds will feature a crossover with the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, which is not something we would have predicted. But by now, we should know better than to assume the impossible about this world.
The decision, as showrunner Henry Alonso Myers described, was arrived at in a humorously circuitous fashion.
Speaking at Comic-Con, he stated, “One of our writers David Reid also works on The Boys, and he was just like: ‘Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if we do a crossover?'” and we said, “That sounds like a fantastic idea.”
And then I got a call from Alex [Kurtzman], and it had nothing to do with the programme, and he said, “I believe you guys should consider about doing a crossover with Lower Decks.
So, “I have some great news for you!”

Strange New Worlds Season 3 Release date?
Its early renewal allowed the show to begin filming its second season earlier than expected. Actually, it’s done.
Christopher Fisher, the show’s director and producer, made the initial public announcement on July 1, 2022, that filming for the new episodes had concluded.
Final episodes have aired for Season 3 of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”. For all the love and support from Toronto and Canada, I want to thank the best actors, crew, writers, directors, and the city of Toronto itself!” he tweeted. “And most of all, thank you to the incredible fans and everyone who shares our collective aim #to bravely go.”
We can now anticipate that the second season of Strange New Worlds will premiere in the first half of 2023, thanks to the expedited production schedule.
Or, perhaps, our prayers will be heard, and Paramount will move the release date up even further.
Strange New Worlds Season 3 Review
In contrast to other recent Trek offerings, Strange New Worlds is a fantastic series in the Trek universe. Fans of the original Star Trek series will find much to enjoy here, from the retro-style opening credits to the uniforms, technology, and noises.
The stories are tight, doing a great job of establishing the environment, the difficulties, and the growth of the relationships between the crew members. The series’ incorporation of younger versions of established characters is a nice, realistic touch.
SNW has the standard plot flaws and comedic elements, as well as some good nods to Earth’s history and Kirk-like problem solutions.
Add to that a stellar ensemble, and you have a winner; I, for one, can’t wait for more.
Strange New Worlds Season 3 Trailer
Now that filming is complete, we may look forward to seeing fresh footage in early 2023 (or sooner if Paramount takes a risky approach).
If you keep coming back, we’ll make sure you know everything that’s happening with the programme you can watch season 1 on voot.
And put the stun settings on your phasers, because we know that whatever they have planned is going to be fantastic.
Conclusion
In many ways, the first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the pinnacle of television excellence, a wonderful space adventure whose episodic storytelling format has allowed it to delve into a wide variety of genres.
Each episode, whether it’s a dramatic submarine thriller, a silly body-swap romantic comedy, a magical children’s story, or a bleak horror story, is interesting in its own right and teaches us something about the individuals we’re watching. Looking back on season 1, it seems as though the programme is capable of just about anything.
