The Irregular at Magic High School season 3, or Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, is a popular Japanese anime series. The story takes place in an alternative universe where magic is real and has been refined by technology.
Tatsuya Shiba and his sister Miyuki Shiba, members of the notorious Yotsuba family, are the protagonists of this novel. Tatsuya is rejected by his peers at school because of his lack of magical skill, whereas Miyuki is recognised for her superior powers because to the school’s segregation system.
Web novelist Tsutomu Sat’s work served as inspiration for both the manga and the anime. A total of two seasons of the anime have been produced so far.
The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 Happen or Not?
A third season of the anime has been ordered. We’ve chosen to make a sequel to the anime The Irregular at Magic High School, the webpage for the show announced. Please stay tuned for the follow-up report and the subsequent announcement of details via the official website and Twitter account. On the first day of the new year, they made the announcement, following the news of the Reminiscence Arc anime.
The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 Plotline
Double Seven, a major plot point in the light novel series, is rumoured to be explored in The Irregular at Magic High School season 3. During the second year of the story, Tatsuya and Miyuki are joined by another student, Takumi Shippou. Throughout the novel, tension arises because of Takumi’s resentment for the Saegusa twins, Kasumi and Izumi.
While this is happening, Zhou Gongjin and the Saegusa clan have banded together to have the media smear the Japanese magicians, who happen to be students at First High. Tatsuya has a number of challenges this season, including dealing with Takumi’s egotism, rescuing First High, and fending off an impending onslaught.
Cast And Main Lead Of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3
Tatsuya Shiba and Miyuki Shiba, portrayed by Yuichi Nakamura and Saori Hayami respectively, will appear in the show’s upcoming The Irregular at Magic High School season 3. Others who know Tatsuya, like Erika Chiba, Leo Saijo, Mizuki Shibata, Mikihiko Yoshida, Honoka Mitsui, Shizuku Kitayama, and Minami Sakurai, may appear in Season 3. The next season will also feature returning characters including Takumi Shippou, Kasumi and Izumi Saegusa, Zhou Gongjin, and the rest of the Saegusa family.
The principal animation director was returning character designer Kana Ishida. In addition, Taku Iwasaki, a composer, came back.
In the second season of the Japanese animated series Mahouka, several of the voice actors and actresses from the previous season reprised their roles. Tatsuya Shiba will be voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, Miyuki Shiba by Saori Hayami, and Angelina Kudo Shields by Yoko Hikasa.
No details have been revealed about the opening and closing themes for Season 3 of The Irregular at Magic High School.
Memories of a Weird Kid at a Normal School Kairi Yagi sang “Ripe Aster,” the opening theme song, for the anime Arc.
When Can We Expect The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3?
Third season premiere details are still forthcoming, as stated in the release. But a teaser for the upcoming season has been unveiled:
Release Date Of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3
No official announcement on Season 3 of Mahouka has been made by Studio 8bit, FUNimation, or any other entity involved in the anime’s development as of the most recent update. Furthermore, there has been no confirmation of a Season 3 of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. However, it has been announced that work on the second Mahouka anime film will begin in late 2021.
After confirmation of the news, the appropriate sections of this article will be revised to reflect the new information.
In the meantime, fans might wonder if and when Season 3 of The Irregular at Magic High School will ever air.
Schedules for anime productions sometimes extend over multiple years. When the light book series is complete (more on that below), the anime production committee can begin making long-term plans for making the anime series.
Episodes Detail Of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3
Mahouka’s third season of the anime has yet to have its episode count revealed. However, the light novel series (for more information, see the anime/book comparison section below) strongly suggests that the third season will consist of 24 episodes split between two cours. TV shows often air in blocks of 10–13 episodes over the course of three months, called “cour,” that correspond to the actual seasons.
In April of 2014, the first season debuted, and in the same month, the film The Irregular at Magic High School was released. In 2017, Hollywood debuted the film The Girl Who Calls the Stars. Anime studio Madhouse and director Manabu Ono worked together to create the first season’s 26 episodes.
Just in case you missed it, a brand new TV anime adaptation of Mahouka 2021 has been released. To be clear, this was not Mahouka Season 3. A manga spin-off titled The Honor Student at Magic High School, which is simply a retelling of the main anime’s tale from a different perspective, was adapted for the most recent season of the anime instead (see the details below).
A third season of The Irregular at Magic High School is in the works, but we still don’t know who will be leading the production or where it will be shot. Studio 8bit is the most likely candidate, given they created the first Mahouka film, the upcoming second season in 2020, and the next Reminiscence Arc TV special in 2021.
English Dubbed of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3
The English dub of Season 2 of Mahouka, which is a FUNimation exclusive, was not initially released as a SimulDub. There was never an English dub for the first season.
An English dub of Season 2 of Mahouka was announced by FUNimation in the middle of November 2020. Aniplex of America and Bang Zoom! will be dubbing the second season. Entertainment.

The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 Compare Anime And Novel
The first book series’ overarching plot can be broken down into 22 discrete story arcs, each of which is indicated by its own title. Each episode is named after a story arc, so it’s easy to see how they translated from the novels to the anime.
Six volumes of the Enrollment, Nine School Competition, and Yokohama Disturbance storylines were turned into the 26 episodes of the first season of the anime. Volume 5, the Summer Vacation arc, was obviously not included in the first season.
Volume 5 dealt with the break between academic terms, as one might guess from the title.
The book detailed the election process for a new Student Council at the start of the school year. It also set the stage for the Yokohama Disturbance Arc by introducing several characters and their magical abilities.
How a specific character learned one of Tatsuya’s secrets was also recounted in the book.
The script, as with other anime adapted from light novels, substantially trimmed the source material, cutting out unnecessary scenes, dialogue, and foreshadowing. While Tatsuya was the main character, the volumes expanded on the roles of the supporting cast.
The most disturbing alteration to fans of light novels was the watering down of technical magic systems.
The anime’s portrayal of magic was more concerned with spectacle and acrobatics than with the engineering and physics behind it, which were both superfluous in this world.
The simpler magic system in the anime did, however, allow for more exciting visuals. The plot was able to move forward more quickly thanks to the elimination of the lengthy explanations needed to explain the workings of magic physics.
Light novel volumes 9 through 11 (the Visitor arc) were adapted for the second season of the anime.
This means that the Recollection Arc in Volume 8 was initially ignored by the anime. (As was mentioned before, the TV special The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc is likely adapting it.)
The bulk of the story is set three years in the past. The narrative provides background on the characters and explains how and why Tatsuya’s matter detonation magic has caught the attention of the United States of North America (USNA).
Fans of light novels were disappointed by the decision to omit Volumes 5 and 8, even if they may be skipped because they focus more on character development than on major storyline developments.

The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 Teaser
During The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 of Mahouka, Shiba Tatsuya and Shiba Miyuki return to First High School for their sophomore year. Tatsuya’s achievements led to the establishment of a new Magical Engineering Cour, where he now serves as acting vice president of the student council.
After successfully completing her tests, Yotsuba Maya appoints Sakurai Minami as the guardian of Miyuki.
When two freshmen from wealthy households begin arguing, they interrupt Tatsuya and Miyuki’s comfortable school life. A new freshman representative, Takumi Shippou, has a hatred towards the Saegusa twins, Kasumi and Izumi, for reasons that are not clear.
While this was going on, Zhou Gongjin was busy collaborating with the media to spread anti-magician sentiment. Tatsuya’s demonstration of the principles behind the Stellar Furnace Energy Plant, a power source run by magicians, proves disastrous for this scheme.
Tatsuya places a high value on this endeavour because he thinks the new power source could provide magicians with a way out of their designated duties as the weapons of the powerful.
There will be a new iteration of the Nine Schools Competition with new challenges and regulations. When it comes to the Steeplechase competition, the Kudo family always makes sure to have plenty of obstacles ready to throw at the competitors.
Tatsuya decides to neutralise these androids to safeguard Miyuki, but Zhou is meddling by destroying the parasite dolls. As the new school competition begins, a struggle breaks out behind the scenes.
Because of Zhou, the Yotsuba have started looking for him, and Tatsuya has been told to help. Zhou abandons Yokohama for Kyoto, the home of the traditionalists, a group of old magicians who practise authentic magic. By a stroke of luck, Kyoto is also hosting this year’s National High School Magic Thesis Competition.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more complicated, it’s time to choose the next head of the Yotsuba Clan. Miyuki is experiencing an emotional outburst over her suppressed desires for Tatsuya because she knows that if she becomes the next head, she will be compelled to marry a guy she does not know.
However, if Miyuki takes over as leader, her brother will be released, and she has already begun plotting how she can fulfil her arranged marriage obligations and start a family while secretly continuing her scandalous affair. Miyuki’s heart is broken because she is petrified that Tatsuya will turn his nose up at her if she ever lets him know how she really feels.
Things come to a climax on New Year’s Eve 2096 when Maya tells Tatsuya, “Miyuki is not your sister.”
Anime watchers will have to wait until the Season 3 premiere of The Irregular at Magic High School to find out what happens next. Remember to check back for updates!
